Hunter Assassin is a top-down stealth game with a beautifully simple rule: enemies with flashlights guard every level, and the only way to clear it is to take them down one by one without ever being seen. The catch is that your assassin has nothing but a knife. The enemies have guns. The moment a flashlight beam touches you, you are dead in a single shot. The whole game is about reading patrol paths and striking from the shadows.
What gives Hunter Assassin its hook is the cat-and-mouse rhythm. You tap to move; your assassin walks slowly and silently. The enemies are louder – their footsteps and flashlight cones give them away – and as long as you stay behind them, they will never know you are there. But the moment they hear or see you, they pivot, and the whole level changes from puzzle to chase.
How to Play Hunter Assassin
Tap (or click) anywhere on the screen to move your assassin to that point. Walk into an enemy from behind to take them out silently. Avoid being caught in their flashlight beams – if a beam touches you, the level fails immediately. Gems you collect mid-level upgrade your speed, health and assassin roster between runs.
Tips to Clear Levels Cleanly
Wait for enemies to turn away before moving. A patient run is always faster than a rushed one – chases waste time.
Use noise pings (the small "thump" sound effect) to lure enemies away from corners – they investigate predictably.
Always take out the closest enemy first. The further one will not notice for a few seconds, giving you time to set up the next kill.
Save your speed upgrades for last. Health upgrades early help you survive accidents while you learn enemy patterns.
